Mt Rushmore Self-Guided Tours

THE MOUNT RUSHMORE AUDIO TOUR:: Living Memorial is a recorded audio guide at Mount Rushmore National Memorial incorporating narration, music, interviews, sound effects and historic recordings of Gutzon Borglum, Lincoln Borglum, American Indians and workers. MULTIMEDIA TOUR: The Mount Rushmore Self-Guided Tour: Not only will you be able to hear the inspiring story about how and why Mount Rushmore was carved, but you will also be able to SEE photos and video that complement the information being heard and read on the screen. Using device that works just like your iPhone or Android, you can easily select the information you want to learn more about. There is a GPS-enabled map that will alert you as you are nearing each tour stop. But as always, you can go to each tour stop around the park or you can sit in an enclosed area and experience the tour. There are a total of 29 tour stops. Hours of operation: Summer Season 9:00 am till 2 hours before closing time 4:00 pm, daily from the Audio Tour Building. Winter Season 9:00 am – 3:00 pm daily. From the Information Center Bookstore Closed Christmas Day.
