Black Hills Parkway

More commonly known as US Highway 385, this 59-mile parkway is the longest scenic road in the Black Hills and passes through several area tourist communities.  From Custer in the southern Black Hills to Deadwood and Lead in the northern Black Hills this route will take you through some of the prettiest scenery in the Black Hills.  You’ll see the Ponderosa Pine trees of the Black Hills National Forest and the deep waters of Pactola Lake.  Also, along the route will be plenty of opportunities to get out in nature to hike, swim, kayak and explore.  Make sure to stop in and see some of the smaller communities – there are plenty of locations to shop, eat and play along the way.
