Hours of operation:  Open daily Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, weather permitting, from approx. 10 AM - 5 PM. Closed last 5 weekdays of August (Aug. 26-30), then open for final days of 2013 season, Aug. 31 - Sept. 2.  NOTE: Closing time varies during season; call for up-to-date information at 605-666-4478.

 No advance booking requirement.  You can book online the same day you plan to visit the attraction.

Put President's Alpine Slide at Rushmore Tramway right at the top of your  "Things To Do Near Mt. Rushmore" list.  Attractions here include a scenic chairlift ride up to Mt. Rushmore views, casual outdoor dining, an alpine garden tour, and a thrilling 2000 ft. alpine slide.  For 2013, a Zipline and a treetop challenge course, the Aerial Adventure Park, will be added to Rushmore Tramway’s outdoor recreation options, promising to be the most exciting of all Keystone attractions! 

Rushmore Tramway Chairlift, Gardens, Grille.  Glide up smoothly on the scenic chairlift thu the fragrant Ponderosa pines to a beautiful mountaintop park.  Explore the sparkling pathways, enjoying the thousands of flowers in granite-bordered beds, the lush lawns, and the soothing sound of waterfalls.  Wander the gardens at your leisure to discover each of the panoramic overlooks with unique views of Mount Rushmore and vistas of the surrounding the Black Hills – be sure to bring your camera!  Outdoor
dining is at its best in this garden setting at Rushmore Tramway's summit.  The park's cafe serves mouth-watering grilled burgers (including buffalo), brats, salads and other entrees, beer and ice cream.  Choose a shaded spot or a sunny deck - all tables offer dining with a beautiful view of Mt. Rushmore across the valley.  

President’s Alpine Slide at Rushmore Tramway.  When ready for action, ride back down on the chairlift, getting a bird’s eye view of riders on the alpine slide below you, OR, settle into a wheeled sled and glide down the exhilarating slide. The sled’s brakes allow full control of your speed and small children ride with adults, so this activity is truly family fun for all ages.  Whether you slide slowly and serenely thru the trees or zip down at a speedy pace over the dips and around banked corners, you will arrive at the bottom with a smile on your face and great memories for your Mt. Rushmore vacation album!

Aerial Adventure Park & Zipline at Rushmore Tramway.  Extreme sport enthusiasts love a zip line and the Tramway’s 800 ft. double-line free fall will satisfy! Love climbing? It goes to brand new levels at the Tramway’s ropes challenge course.  Guests receive harnesses and a safety and usage demonstration, then set out to traverse various treetop courses.  More than 60 platforms connect 60-plus elements of varying degrees
of difficulty, each color-coded to designate its challenge level.  It’s all about adrenaline!
