Wildlife can easily be seen along the popular Wildlife Loop drive and Iron Mountain Road.  Custer State Park boasts four mountain lakes and a variety of hiking, biking and walking trails. The park is also known for its scenic drives along the pig tail bridges and the needles highway. Custer State Park offers a variety of history and naturalist programs, as well as adventures like horseback riding, rock climbing, canoeing, mountain biking and fly-fishing.

Feeding and disturbing park wildlife is against park regulations. While the animals within the park are used to visitors and vehicles, they are still wild animals.  Please remain in your vehicle or stay at least 100 yards from bison, elk, and other animals.
