Feel the thunder at the annual Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup on Friday, September 25. Watch cowboys, cowgirls and park rangers as they roundup and drive the herd of approximately 1,300 buffalo. On Friday, parking lots open at 6:15 a.m; The Roundup begins at 9:30 a.m. Early arrival is recommended. Stay for the the three-day Arts Festival, September 26-28. Over 150 vendors will be offering their arts and crafts for sale. Most of the arts and crafts are South Dakota Made!
The 2020 Custer State Park Buffalo Round-up is set for Friday, September 25. Gates open at 6:30 a.m. The Roundup is followed by the Custer State Park Arts Festival. More than 150 vendors will be offering their arts and crafts for sale during the Arts Festival from September 24 - 26. Many of their wares are made in South Dakota. As well as shopping, enjoy Lakota music and dance as well as a variety of Cowboy and Country music.There are also a number of educational programs by Custer State Park naturalists.Additional entertainment include the Buffalo Wallow Chili Cook-off.
