High Country Guest Ranch
The High Country Guest Ranch is tucked in the heart of the beautiful Black Hills, 4 miles outside of Hill City, South Dakota. It is truly the place where Western and Native American Cultures unite! Lodging options include RV sites, traditional camping cabins, cowboy cabins, and spacious log vacation homes. All of the units are smoke free. The camping cabins sleep up to 6 people and offer microwaves, refrigerators, bathrooms, AC, heat, bunk-style beds, Hibachi grills, and picnic tables. Linens are available for an extra fee. The individual cowboy log cabins are set up similar to a standard hotel room and feature 2 queen beds, microwaves, refrigerators, bathrooms, AC, heat, front decks with table/chairs, and Hibachi grills. The 4 Cowboy Cabins share an outdoor hot tub and fire pit. The vacation homes are fully furnished and range from 1-7 bedrooms/lofts, with accommodations for up to 14 people. Some homes offer private outdoor hot tubs, Jacuzzi bathtubs, pool tables, laundry facilities, and fireplaces. Ranch amenities include hot tubs, seasonal trail rides, horse stable, ATV rentals, playground, golf cart rentals, convenience store, gift shop, volleyball, horseshoes, picnic pavilion, and fire pits. The Dakota Hall can accommodate up to 285 people for receptions, while the outdoor theatre can hold up to 300 for weddings and other special events. There is limited internet access, and no WiFi at this property. The 109 mile Mickelson Trail borders the ranch, providing excellent areas for biking and hiking. Front Desk Hours are 8 am - 7 pm in the summer and 8 am - 5 pm in the winter. PET POLICY: Pet Friendly--$20 pet charge per day/per pet. $200 deposit due at check in (refunded after stay if no damage is caused by pet). Guest must be at least 21 years of age to book.
