Located just a few miles from Mount Rushmore, Hill City is home to Sue, one of the most popular Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons where you can see a part of her along with Stan the T. Rex at the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research. Hill City is also home to art galleries, boutiques, wineries, and the historic 1880 Train, making Hill City the perfect place to headquarter on your Black Hills Vacation. This package starts at $729 for a family of four and includes 3 nights lodging, entrance to Mount Rushmore National Memorial; a ride on the 1880 Train and entrance to the Railroad Museum; Crazy Horse Memorial, Circle B Chuckwagon Dinner, and a visit to the Black Hills Institute. For those interested in biking and hiking, Hill City is the half way point on the Mickelson Trail. Optional add-ons include the Mt Rushmore Audio Tour or rent a bicycle and ride the Mickelson Trail.
