Newton Fork Ranch, Hill City, SD, Cabins. Newton Fork Ranch will become your "home away from home" a peaceful oasis from a world filled with time constraints and non-stop activity. Our fully furnished and well-equipped real log cabins will afford you a welcome respite from a hectic life. An afternoon sitting on the deck watching wild life or an evening spent by a warm fire will transport you to a far simpler and more tranquil time.

When it comes time to sightseeing and touring, we are 1/2 mile from shopping on historic Main Street in the old gold mining mountain town of Hill City with its celebrated 1880 Train. We are also very close to Deerfield Lake, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, the Needles Highway and, local favorite, Prairie Berry Winery.

Newton Fork Ranch welcomes guests traveling with their well-behaved pets. In order to ensure a clean and safe environment for all our guests, we have the following pet policies: Pet owners are charged a non-refundable $15 fee per pet, per night. Pet owners agree to not leave their pets unattended in their cabins at any time unless crated. When outside of cabins, pets must be on a leash or in a cage at all times. Pet owners are responsible for picking-up after their pets on Newton Fork Ranch property or a $150 clean-up fee will be added to cabin charge. Pets must be removed from cabins or crated during housekeeping services or may opt out of housekeeping services while pet is present. Pet owner will be responsible for the repair or replacement of any items stained or damaged by their pets. The hotel reserves the right to charge guest's account commensurate to the cost of such damages.

GUESTS TRAVELING WITH HORSES: we have two heavy-duty 12' x 12' paneled corrals available for a small rental fee. Located in a lovely aspen grove, there is also room for guests to erect their own electric fencing if preferred. Guests need to provide and feed their own horses and we require each to have a current health certificate (within 30 days) and a negative Coggins test (within one year).
