Enjoy a leisurely 3-mile drive through this spectacular and unique Wildlife Park nestled on 200 acres of Black Hills beauty. You will experience bears, buffalo, wolves, elk, and over 20 other species of North American animals from the comfort of you vehicle. After your scenic drive you can get out of your vehicle and stroll through the walk through Babyland. There you will enjoy watching the playful antics of our bear cubs and many other smaller animals frolic in their outdoor exhibits. While strolling down the Babyland Main Street you will encounter a full service snack bar, a 6,000 sq.ft. gift shop, and perhaps our entertaining mascot. You will need to allow at least 1.5 hours for your visit.

Open: May 1-Nov 30

Hours: Memorial Day-Labor Day - 8am-6pm; Off Season - 9am-5pm

Note: Maximum charge per vehicle is $55.00.

Booking Instructions: Please select the appropriate number of individuals for each activity option. If selecting the Carload admission, please select number of vehicles. One time admission for use anytime during your stay.

"This was so much fun! Being able to drive around and see so many animals. Yes, go on the drive when it is not the hottest part of the day or the animals will be under shade. Fortunately for us, it was a beautiful day and so we were able to see many animals. The baby animals in the walk through area were the highlight for the kids. We ate lunch there and they had very good food. " - Kathy

"My husband and I visited while on vacation a couple of weeks ago. We loved seeing all the animals. My favorite part was Babyland which I would not have been able to see due to disability had Bill not come along with his golf cart to take us around Babyland - it is FANTASTIC that you offer this!!! We were spending 2 days in Rapid City and just happen to spot Bear Country when we were heading out to Mount Rusmore -- you park was the highlight of our entire trip. "This was a little disappointing, we couldn't see most of the other animals on the route in the park. The either weren't there, or under trees and farther away. The bears were great though! The baby cubs were the best! So cute. I suggest you visit early morning or early evening. It was soooo hot when we were there that we just had to rush through everything and most small animals were inside under shade. But worth seeing at least once!" - Deanna Rice
